  • Cardinals' Darius Robinson: Progressing through injury

Robinson (calf) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, Zach Gershman of the Cardinals' official site reports. Following the Week 11 bye, the Cardinals hosted a bonus practice Monday, which Robinson participated in. It was the first time Robinson participated in practice since Oct. 9, which is when his 21-day window to return from injured reserve opened. If Robinson can practice Thursday and Friday, he would put himself in a good position to make his NFL regular-season debut against the Seahawks on Sunday.

  • Cardinals' Darius Robinson: Missing another week

Robinson (calf) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Jets, Bo Brack of GoPHNX.com reports. The 2024 first-round pick from Missouri will have to wait another week to potentially make his NFL debut after sitting out of practice all week due to a calf issue. Dante Stills and Victor Dimukeje will each likely continue to see increased work as rotational edge rushers until Robinson is past his injury.

  • Cardinals' Darius Robinson: Continues to sit out of practice

Robinson (calf) did not practice Wednesday, Zach Gershman of the Cardinals' official site reports. Robinson opened the regular season on injured reserve due to a calf injury he sustained during the final week of training camp. He was activated off IR on Oct. 28, but he hasn't been able to practice since. Unless he's able to log at least a limited practice session this week, it's unlikely Robinson will suit up against the Jets on Sunday.

  • Cardinals' Darius Robinson: Arizona swoops in

The Cardinals selected Robinson in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 27th overall. Robinson took some time to develop into a star at Missouri but once things clicked, they clicked in a big way. It culminated in Robinson being named first-team All-SEC as a fifth-year senior in 2023 on the strength of 8.5 sacks and 14.0 tackles for loss. At 285 pounds with offensive tackle-level arm length (34.5), he's a powerful rusher who can stand up against the run (43 tackles in 2023). Look for Robinson to challenge either Zaven Collins or BJ Ojulari for defensive end snaps right away.
