If you had the choice to watch any game in the history of your favorite NFL team, which would it be? Maybe it's the Ice Bowl. Or The Immaculate Reception. Or The Drive. Or the original Hail Mary.
What if you could watch that game for free on YouTube, plus two more games as well?
Now, you have that chance. The NFL on Friday announced that for the first time ever, it will upload the network broadcasts of three games per team to YouTube. Fans can vote for their favorite games by heading over to NFL.COM/YOUTUBEGAMES.
The page provides links to each team's Facebook page where a poll is posted asking fans to vote for their favorite game. The 3 most-voted games per franchise (5 options are provided in each poll) will be uploaded to the NFL's official YouTube account (youtube.com/nfl) prior to the start of the 2016 season.
The five game options for each team were selected in conjunction with NFL Films. Voting is open now and runs through next week, at which point the NFL will announce the selections for each team.
Let's just throw it out there: This is awesome!
It's incredibly difficult to find full copies of NFL games anywhere after they air unless you have access to NFL Game Pass. Putting (presumably) legendary games on YouTube is a great way to let fans see big moments in franchise history and giving fans a voice in which ones they get to see is a cool idea as well.
As a Cowboys fan, I've already voted for Super Bowl XXVII on their page. If you want to get your preferred game, I suggest going to their page and voting yourself.
