Moments after the Broncos miraculously pulled out a 31-24 win over the Chiefs on Thursday night, Broncos cornerback Bradley Roby had a message for anyone who had been talking about Peyton Manning's alleged noodle arm during the week leading up to the game.
"Don't talk about Peyton no more," Roby said on the field during a televised interview.
In the game, Manning completed 26 of 45 passes for 256 yards, three touchdowns and one pick, which was returned for a touchdown. More important than that statline, however, was what Manning did on the Broncos' final possession of the game.
Trailing by seven with just under two-and-a-half minutes remaining in the game, the Broncos owned possession of the football at their own 20-yard line. Manning marched the Broncos straight down the field.
With 40 seconds remaining, Manning snapped the ball from just inside the Chiefs' 20-yard line. Four seconds later, the game was tied, as Manning fired a strike to Emmanuel Sanders in the end zone.
"(Manning) was a Hall of Famer tonight," Roby said.
The Broncos gained the lead when Roby returned a Jamaal Charles fumble for a touchdown just one play later. They sealed the win by sacking Alex Smith in the final seconds.
Afterwards, Chiefs head coach Andy Reid provided the best summary of Manning's performance.
"Yeah, well he's obviously -- he's not done."
