Some people have said that LeBron James has lost a step in his athleticism. Some people are dumb.
The Cleveland Cavaliers star blew past DeMarre Carroll in the first half of Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals, and with Bismack Biyombo high in the set trying to guard off-ball movement, there was no protection at the rim. That meant that James elevated, elevated, elevated, kept going, and eventually decided to slam the ball down with great force in what might be called a "dunk." Or "jam." Or "complete throwdown on the souls of his opponent."
The Cavaliers went down by seven points early in the second but responded with the fury of a million suns to take a 20-point lead at one point. The Raptors were so preoccupied with the Cavs' perimeter attack that it was a layup line to the rim. Or dunk line. Or whatever that was that James did. The Raptors have to clean that up to give themselves a chance against a powerful Cavs offense.
