The big man was a highlight factory on Tuesday night and he can thank his crafty point guard.

Denver Nuggets center JaVale McGee went off on the Los Angeles Lakers during Game 5 on Tuesday night, scoring 21 points, grabbing 14 and blocking 2 shots in 33 minutes off the bench. Nuggets guard Andre Miller had a hand in a bunch of McGee's highlights, throwing him lob after lob, with the Lakers defense lacking the awareness or the desire to intercede on the alley-oop parade.

The play of the night was a 50-foot flick pass from behind halfcourt from Miller that McGee caught well above the rim before throwing it down. Miller let fly with 9:45 remaining in the fourth quarter and the Nuggets leading 78-67. McGee caught it cleanly over Lakers forward Jordan Hill and finished with no trouble at all.

The Nuggets went on to take Game 5 at Staples Center, 102-99. Miller finished with 24 points and 8 assists.

The Nuggets will host the Lakers for Game 6 in Denver on Thursday night.
