Kawhi Leonard missed the Spurs' previous game -- Game 6 against the Houston Rockets during the second round -- due to a sprained left ankle, but he was back in the lineup Sunday afternoon against the Warriors.
Leonard's return didn't last long; he once again tweaked that ankle. In fact, he did it twice in the span of a few minutes in the third quarter against the Warriors in Game 1, and had to leave the game.

First, Leonard stepped backward along the sideline and rolled it when he landed wrong on the foot of David Lee, who was sitting on the Spurs bench.
A few minutes later, Leonard was back in, but once again landed awkwardly and rolled the ankle. Like the Markieff Morris-Al Horford scenario in the Celtics-Wizards series, Leonard landed wrong on Zaza Pachulia's foot after the big man tried to contest a shot.
After the second instance, Leonard made his way to the locker room, and the Spurs announced he would not return to the game.
