The Washington Wizards were not able to reach an agreement with their restricted free agent swingman Otto Porter during the initial hours of free agency, and Porter has since gone on to meet with other teams.
One of those squads was the Sacramento Kings, who, according to Chris Haynes of ESPN, have offered Porter a max contract.

Haynes further reported that Porter has not made a decision yet, and will meet with other teams. Via ESPN:
A max offer for Porter would be in the range of four years, and approximately $100 million.
Porter has not made a decision yet as he has more meetings to take, sources say.
The Wizards, according to sources, are adamant that they will match all offers to retain their starting wing. There is skepticism within league circles that the Wizards could ultimately be bluffing in an attempt to discourage potential suitors from presenting an offer sheet.
Haynes' last note there that the Wizards could be bluffing in their adamant claims to match any offer to Porter. If they are indeed reluctant to give Porter the max, perhaps that is why the two sides were unable to come to an agreement in their first meeting.
As Porter is a restricted free agent, the Wizards will have 48 hours to match any offer sheet that Porter signs, should he decide to sign one. However, it is important to note that the 48-hour countdown begins on July 6, when the moratorium ends and contracts can officially be signed.
After struggling a bit in his first three seasons, Porter came into his own with the Wizards last season, averaging 13.4 points and 6.4 rebounds, while shooting 43.4 percent from 3-point land, which was good for fifth in the league.
