Carrick recorded an assist and five hits in Wednesday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Kings in Game 2.

Carrick set up the first of Dylan Holloway's two goals in the game. The 32-year-old Carrick remains in a fourth-line role, though he could be replaced by Sam Gagner or Derek Ryan if the Oilers opt to mix things up. Carrick had 16 points, 92 shots on net, 167 hits and 102 PIM over 77 regular-season appearances between the Oilers and the Ducks.

McDavid recorded a power-play assist, three hits and two PIM in Wednesday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Kings in Game 2.

McDavid didn't have much of an encore after a five-assist performance in Game 1. He was limited to a secondary helper on Zach Hyman's tally midway through the second period, as the Kings' defense did a better job of limiting his chances. The 27-year-old has four shots on net and six hits over two playoff contests, and he should continue to put pressure on the Kings even if it only leads to chances for his teammates.

Janmark logged two assists, five hits and a plus-2 rating in Wednesday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Kings in Game 2.

Janmark helped out on both of Dylan Holloway's tallies in the game. Playing in a fourth-line role, Janmark shouldn't be expected to put up much offense in the postseason. He had just 12 points with 67 shots on net, 54 hits and 46 PIM over 71 regular-season appearances in a similar assignment.

Draisaitl logged two assists (one on the power play), eight shots on net and two hits in Wednesday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Kings in Game 2.

Draisaitl set up goals by Brett Kulak and Zach Hyman in the contest. Three of Draisaitl's four points over two playoff games have come on the power play. He's added 11 shots on net, three blocked shots and a minus-1 rating. Draisaitl continues to center the second line, but the 28-year-old could move to play alongside Connor McDavid if the Kings are able to win Friday's Game 3, as the Oilers often put their best players together when playing from behind.

Hyman scored a power-play goal on two shots and added three hits in Wednesday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Kings in Game 2.

Hyman has racked up four goals, one assist, eight hits and 11 shots on net through two playoff contests. His tally in the second period Wednesday tied the game at 3-3. After a 54-goal regular season, it's clear Hyman is dialed in as the finisher on the Oilers' top line while also serving as a strong net-front presence on the power play.

Holloway scored two goals, went plus-2 and added three hits in Wednesday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Kings in Game 2.

After the Oilers' top line dominated Game 1, Holloway showed off his skills from the fourth line in Game 2. He's picked up five goals and two assists over his last eight contests despite a fairly limited role. Holloway doesn't have a path to power-play time with the Oilers at essentially full health in the postseason, but he's doing all he can to solidify his place in the lineup.

Foegele notched an assist, two shots on goal, four hits and a minus-2 rating in Wednesday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Kings in Game 2.

Foegele has a goal and an assist through the first two games of the playoffs. He helped out on a Brett Kulak tally in the first period of this contest. Foegele has added seven shots on net, six hits and a minus-2 rating. The 28-year-old winger will have upside in DFS as long as he remains alongside Leon Draisaitl on the second line.

Arvidsson logged an assist, three hits and two blocked shots in Wednesday's 5-4 overtime win over the Oilers in Game 2.

Arvidsson set up Drew Doughty's breakaway tally in the first period. With two helpers over two playoff contests, Arvidsson is settling in nicely on the second line. The winger has added four shots on net. He closed the regular season with 10 points over his last nine outings, so it shouldn't be surprising to see the 31-year-old find success on offense.

Fiala scored a goal on four shots in Wednesday's 5-4 overtime win over the Oilers in Game 2.

Fiala's third-period marker briefly gave the Kings a 4-3 lead. It was his first point to go with seven shots on net and five hits over two playoff contests. Fiala had 29 goals, 44 assists, 225 shots on net, 67 hits and 62 PIM over 82 regular-season outings. While he's been on the third line in the postseason, the Kings' offense is deep enough to give him plenty of good opportunities.

Kempe scored two goals on seven shots, went plus-3 and added three hits in Wednesday's 5-4 overtime win over the Oilers in Game 2.

Kempe's pair of goals came in the first period. The 27-year-old has three straight multi-point efforts, earning four goals and two assists in that span. He's added 12 shots on net and seven hits through two playoff outings. Kempe remains locked in to a top-line role with ice time in all situations, so he should continue to be productive in a first-round series that's showed little patience for defense.

Benn earned a power-play assist and levied seven hits in Wednesday's 3-1 loss to the Golden Knights in Game 2.

Benn has two points, seven shots on net and 11 hits through two playoff contests. The 34-year-old is no stranger to physical play, and his offense hasn't been the problem in the first round -- the Stars have been a little leaky defensively while losing the first two games. Benn has plenty of postseason experience and should be leaned on to lead the team, both with offense and in the locker room.

Robertson scored a power-play goal on two shots, added two hits and blocked two shots in Wednesday's 3-1 loss to the Golden Knights in Game 2.

Robertson's tally opened the scoring in the first period, but he was the only Star to solve Logan Thompson. The 24-year-old Robertson has four goals and an assist over his last six games, including two goals through two playoff outings. He continues to play on the top line and first power-play unit, but the Stars will need him at his best as they head to Vegas trailing 2-0 in the series.

Kulak scored a goal and blocked two shots in Wednesday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Kings in Game 2.

Kulak got the Oilers on the board in the first period after a slow start. The 30-year-old defenseman hadn't scored since March 2, earning just six assists over 25 contests between tallies. Kulak's spot in the lineup appears safe, but he's limited to a third-pairing role after posting 16 points, 94 shots on net, 88 blocked shots and 77 hits over 82 regular-season games.

Spence logged an assist, two hits and two blocked shots in Wednesday's 5-4 overtime win over the Oilers in Game 2.

Spence set up a Kevin Fiala tally in the third period. After posting 24 points over 71 regular-season outings, Spence has maintained a third-pairing role in the postseason. He'll likely see limited minutes, but he could provide some depth offense and solid non-scoring numbers after racking up 67 hits, 55 blocked shots and 80 shots on goal in the regular season.

Anderson registered an assist, two shots on goal, five hits and three blocked shots in Wednesday's 5-4 overtime win over the Oilers in Game 2.

Anderson has been surprisingly productive with a goal, an assist, three shots on net, seven hits and four blocked shots over two playoff contests. He was limited to one helper over his last 12 regular-season outings. Anderson's game is primarily defensive, but he'll get his chances to add depth scoring while playing alongside Drew Doughty on the top pair.

Doughty scored a goal on three shots in Wednesday's 5-4 overtime win over the Oilers in Game 2.

Doughty got loose on a breakaway and converted for the Kings' third goal of the contest. The defenseman has two points, four shots on net, two hits and three blocked shots over two playoff contests. Doughty should continue to see massive minutes in all situations, so there will be chances for him to produce steady offense.

Heiskanen logged a power-play assist, four hits, two blocked shots, two PIM and a minus-2 rating in Wednesday's 3-1 loss to the Golden Knights in Game 2.

Heiskanen set up Jason Robertson's first-period tally. The 24-year-old Heiskanen has earned an assist in each of the first two postseason contests. He's seeing heavy minutes in a top-pairing role and has also chipped in four shots on net, six hits, five blocked shots and a minus-4 rating.

Hanifin scored a goal in Wednesday's 3-1 win over the Stars in Game 2.

Hanifin's tally late in the second period stood as the game-winner. The defenseman has three points over two playoff contests as he continues to show why Vegas was interested in trading for him in March. In addition to a top-pairing role at even strength, Hanifin is also seeing time on the first power-play unit and killing penalties, making him arguably the Golden Knights' most important blueliner in the postseason.

Skinner allowed five goals on 26 shots in Wednesday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Kings in Game 2.

Skinner is now 1-1 in the postseason, having allowed nine goals on 63 shots. He's given up at least four goals in three straight games, something he didn't do in the seven outings prior to his recent struggles. The Oilers will roll with Skinner in goal, though it could be up to the offense to cover up his mistakes in a first-round series that's not been kind to the goalies so far. The next game is Friday in Los Angeles.

Talbot stopped 27 of 31 shots in a 5-4 overtime win over the Oilers in Wednesday's Game 2.

Talbot had another rough game, but the Kings were able to play a little bit better and snag the win with Anze Kopitar's tally 2:07 into the extra session. With 10 goals allowed over two playoff contests, Talbot has had his hands full with a dangerous offense so far. The series is tied at 1-1 heading to Los Angeles, where Talbot went 13-10-3 with a 2.56 GAA and a .910 save percentage this season, slightly worse than his numbers on the road. Game 3 is Friday.

Oettinger stopped 23 of 25 shots in Wednesday's 3-1 loss to the Golden Knights in Game 2. The third goal was an empty-netter.

Both goals against Oettinger came with less than two minutes left in a period -- Jonathan Marchessault scored at 18:09 of the first and Noah Hanifin's game-winner was at 18:53 of the second. While it was an improvement from Game 1, it still wasn't good enough from Oettinger, who will now try to guide the Stars out of a 2-0 series deficit. Game 3 is Saturday in Vegas.

Thompson stopped 20 of 21 shots in Wednesday's 3-1 win over the Stars in Game 2.

Thompson has opened the playoffs with a pair of wins. He gave up only a power-play goal to Jason Robertson in the first period, with the Golden Knights scoring the next three tallies for the win. Thompson has allowed seven goals during his four-game winning streak. At this point, the 27-year-old looks to have the starting role, so it wouldn't be a surprise to see him get the nod for Saturday's Game 3 back in Vegas.

DeSmith will start Game 3 on the road versus the Predators on Friday, Robby Stanley of NHL.com reports.

DeSmith is now the Canucks' top goalie since Thatcher Demko (undisclosed) is considered week-to-week. DeSmith struggled in Game 2 on Tuesday, allowing three goals on 15 shots in a 4-1 loss. The 32-year-old will likely need a bit more goal support from his team, as well as a better performance from himself between the pipes, in order for the Canucks to have a chance to regain a series lead.

Prosvetov was reassigned to AHL Colorado on Wednesday.

Prosvetov had a 3.16 GAA and an .895 save percentage in 11 outings with the Avalanche during the regular season. He has also supplied a 2.33 GAA and a .921 save percentage across 21 minor-league contests in 2023-24.
