The 2015 Match Play Championship starts this week and Tiger Woods will not be there. That's because Woods (ranked No. 116) is not in the top 64 in the world.

Still, because it was one of the great moments in Match Play Championship history, I thought we should revisit what the Big Cat did to Stephen Ames back in 2006.

It could probably have been categorized as a felony in 30 or more states, but it wasn't in Arizona where the tournament was held.

Ames, now famously, had said the following about facing Woods. "Anything can happen," Ames said. "Especially where he's hitting the ball."

Woods won all nine holes of their match and the two only teed it up on one hole on the back side. Big Cat was pissed after spraying surreal levels of #TourSauce all over their match.

He answered three questions about Ames in the match like so: yes (he saw the comments), yes (it motivated him), no (he didn't care to elaborate).

Here's the carnage (see No. 5 below).

One can only hope Mikko Ilonen talks the same kind of trash about Rory McIlroy or Jordan Spieth this year.
