Rory McIlroy played 18 holes with President Donald Trump over the weekend in Florida, according to Chris Solomon of No Laying Up. McIlroy, who has been injured with a stress fracture in his rib, told Solomon he was not planning on playing a full round until next weekend but a call from the president was too good to pass up.
Since his election as president, Trump has played rounds with Tiger Woods, Ernie Els and now McIlroy. All seemed to be impressed for how Trump moved the ball around the course.
“He probably shot around 80,” McIlroy told No Laying Up. “He’s a decent player for a guy in his 70s!”
