Maatta (lower body) participated in practice Monday, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports.

Maatta suggested that he did not have any restrictions at practice Monday, though conditioning may still be an issue for the blueliner, who last suited up on March 24. When asked about his chances of playing in Wednesday's playoff opener against the Rangers, Maatta was non-committal, noting "I really can't say for sure, but I felt good today." More on Maatta's postseason status no later than Tuesday, as the Penguins' preparations for Game 1 continue.
