Holloway was reassigned to AHL Bakersfield on Thursday.
Holloway has three goals and an assist in 32 games with the Oilers this season. The move was needed after Edmonton acquired Adam Henrique and Sam Carrick from Anaheim on Wednesday, Holloway will likely be among the first recalls if the Oilers run into any injuries up front.
