Canucks' Tom Nilsson: Reassigned to AHL Utica

Nilsson was sent down to the minors Wednesday.

Nilsson signed with the Canucks in the offseason after spending his fifth professional season playing in his native Sweden. The 23-year-old last played for the Comets during the 2014-15 campaign in which he tallied six points in 44 outings along with 26 PIM and a plus-4 ratings. Vancouver are relatively deep along the blue liner, so it is likely the Nilsson will stay in the minors for the majority of the year.
