Cross has signed a one-year, two-way deal with the Bruins, the Boston Herald reports.
The 26-year-old blueliner saw his first NHL action with the B's last season, notching an assist in three games with the team. In 2016-17, Cross figures to spend most of of his time at the AHL level, where recorded three goals and 23 points to go along with 97 PIM in 64 games for Providence in 2015-16.
