Stastny signed a professional tryout agreement with St. Louis on Thursday, James Mirtle of TSN 1050 reports.

Stastny spent the last six seasons playing hockey overseas in Russia, Sweden and Germany. Before that, the center had stints with Edmonton, Boston, and St. Louis but never made a significant impact, totally a career-high seven points during the 2008-09 season. Now in the twilight of his hockey career, the Quebec-native offers little more than line-depth on a Blues' roster that has 12 forwards age 30 and under.
