Hardaway had his 2016-17 team option picked up by the Hawks on Tuesday, Chris Vivlamore of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Hardaway joins the Hawks after a 2014-15 campaign with the Knicks where he averaged 11.5 points and 24.0 minutes in 70 games played. He has promise as a scorer, but is coming off of an ice-cold preseason where he shot just 26 percent from the field. Not to mention, the Hawks backcourt is loaded with competition, and Hardaway figures to be slotted behind the likes of Kyle Korver, Kent Bazemore, and Thabo Sefolosha on the depth chart.
