Marshall (knee) will make his season debut Friday against the Pistons, Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Marshall had been rehabbing with the Delaware 87ers of the D-League, but he was recalled over the weekend, which foreshadowed his return to an NBA court. The former North Carolina standout tore his ACL nearly 11 months ago while playing for the Bucks. He was subsequently traded to Phoenix in the Brandon Knight deal, then promptly waived, before the 76ers came calling in September. With T.J. McConnell and Isaiah Canaan already in the mix at point guard, not to mention Tony Wroten returning from a knee injury of his own, Marshall likely won't see significant minutes right away. In fact, coach Brett Brown said Wednesday that Marshall will be limited to 16 minutes Friday.
