Prielipp underwent a UCL repair with the inclusion of an internal brace Monday, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports. Hayes notes that Prielipp didn't need a full Tommy John surgery and was instead able to undergo an internal brace procedure, which is a less-invasive outcome. Twins' Connor Prielipp: Set for UCL surgery
Prielipp will undergo season-ending UCL surgery on his left elbow Monday, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports. Whether Prielipp will require Tommy John surgery or something less invasive like an internal brace procedure won't be known until he's on the table. Twins' Connor Prielipp: Awaiting next rehab outing
Prielipp (elbow) has not pitched since making a rehab start in the Florida Complex League on June 9. The talented lefty gave up two runs on three hits and two walks while striking out four in 2.2 innings, but it's possible his elbow didn't respond well, given that he hasn't pitched in 11 days since. Twins' Connor Prielipp: To IL with elbow issue
Prielipp is on the 7-day injured list at High-A Cedar Rapids while the team evaluates his surgically repaired left elbow, sportswriter Jeff Johnson reports. The 48th overall pick in last year's draft, Prielipp made his first pro start April 8, giving up three earned runs on five hits and two walks while striking out three in four innings. Only a 21-game streak at Kauffman Stadium from 1998-2001 was longer in Twins history.
