Severino was recalled from Triple-A Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Monday, Shane Hennigan of the Scranton Times-Tribune reports.
Severino struggled in seven starts for the Yankees earlier in the season, amassing an ugly 7.46 ERA and 1.69 WHIP across 35.0 cumulative innings. The 22-year-old has turned things around at Triple-A, however, posting a 3.25 ERA and 7-1 record in 10 starts. It's unclear exactly how the Yankees will use Severino, but it appears as though he'll be utilized in a relief role initially.
