Escobar went 2-for-3 with a double, a steal, an RBI and a run against the Tigers on Thursday.
We're pretty much seeing the usual out of Escobar this year, as he's now swiped four bags while hitting .254. The 29-year-old shortstop continues to hit out of the leadoff spot for the Royals, but has only scored three runs, and his poor OBP has been a major contributor to the team's inconsistencies on offense. If current No. 9 batter Jarrod Dyson keeps hitting, he and Escobar could end up flipping spots in the order.
