Reds' Stuart Turner: Won't serve as third catcher

The Reds won't carry three catchers on their Opening Day roster, so Turner will only make the team if Devin Mesoraco begins the year on the DL.

A Rule 5 pick from the Twins, Turner isn't even guaranteed to be the guy the Reds turn to if Mesoraco begins the year on the DL, but he has the advantage of a shorter path to the 40-man roster than teammate Rob Brantly.
