Farquhar surrendered two hits and an earned run over two innings in Sunday's 7-3 exhibition loss to the Blue Jays. He also struck out a batter.
It was another solid outing for the veteran right-hander, who continues to acquit himself well in his bid for a spot in the Rays bullpen following a forgettable 2015 season in Seattle. After posting a 1-8 record and 5.12 ERA over 51 innings last season, Farquhar has surrendered eight hits and two earned runs over 10.1 spring innings in seven appearances for Tampa, good for a stellar 1.74 ERA.
