Blue Jays' Danny Barnes: Optioned to Triple-A

Barnes was optioned to Triple-A Buffalo following Tuesday's game, Sportsnet's Shi Davidi reports.

He was only up with the big league club for a week before being sent back to Buffalo. However, the move was not necessarily performance related, as the Blue Jays really need a fresh arm for a bullpen that has seen a lot of work recently. He gave up two runs in Tuesday's game after logging three scoreless innings in his first two appearances with the big league club. A corresponding move will be announced prior to Wednesday's game.
