Nevin isn't in the Athletics' lineup for the second game of Wednesday's doubleheader versus the Rangers.
Nevin went 0-for-4 with a strikeout during Game 1, and he'll step out of the lineup for the nightcap. His absence will move Brent Rooker into right field while Shea Langeliers serves as Oakland's DH, allowing Kyle McCann to start behind the plate.
