Arkansas State coach John Brady will resign at the end of the 2015-16 season, athletic director Terry Mohajir announced on Monday night.

"John alerted me of his intentions to resign at the end of the season, at which time we had a conversation regarding his decision," Mohajir said "I have a great deal of respect for John as a person and coach, and we appreciate his desire to finish the rest of the season as our head coach."

Brady is 111-110 in eight years as Arkansas State's head coach, a tenure that is highlighted by two division titles. While coaching at LSU, he led the Tigers to the Final Four in 2006.

Arkansas State improved to 1-1 on Monday night with a 81-37 win against Lyon College after losing to SIU-Edwardsville in the season opener.
