Pac 12-leading Arizona will be without star guard Allonzo Trier on Saturday after he was ruled ineligible for a banned substance. Oregon will try to exploit his absence when it tips off against the Wildcats at 10:15 p.m. ET.

The Ducks opened as two-point home favorites and now are laying four. The Over-Under, or total number of points Vegas thinks will be scored, is 144, down 1.5 from where it opened.

Before choosing either side, you need to read what former Vegas bookmaker Micah Roberts -- who has put together an impressive 11-5 run picking college hoops games -- has to say.

Last week, Roberts made a strong Pac-12 pick involving these same Ducks at UCLA, boldly backing the Bruins at -3.5. He wisely recognized that UCLA's deep eight-man rotation was frustrating opposing defenses. The result: the Bruins not only covered the spread but won outright, 82-74, allowing Roberts to cash.

Now, Roberts, the former Vegas oddsmaker-turned-SportsLine expert with a strong analytical background, has examined every matchup, every player and every trend for Wildcats-Ducks and locked in his confident against-the-spread pick.

Roberts knows that with outstanding defender Trier out of the lineup for Arizona, the Ducks' best shot at covering the spread involves knocking down open threes. Oregon takes about 25 shots from beyond the arc each game. If Payton Pritchard gets hot from long range, it could be a long night for the Wildcats.

If Arizona expects to stay within the spread -- or win outright -- it's going to need a monster game from freshman sensation Deandre Ayton, who is averaging nearly 20 points over his past five outings.

We can tell you Roberts is expecting a low-scoring game featuring two defenses that are playing well and is backing the Under. He also knows one team's tendencies will determine which side of the spread to back on Saturday.

Can the Ducks get a crucial win and cover for NCAA Tournament contention, or will the Wildcats overcome Trier's loss to earn the scrappy win, or at least stay within four points? Visit SportsLine now to see the strong point-spread pick by Roberts, and see which team's tendencies determine what happens, all from a Vegas legend who has absolutely crushed college basketball.
